Privacy Policy

Yosora has no accounts and no server of ours, and we never sell your data. There is no sign-in, and nothing you read is sent to us.
What stays on your device
Everything the app creates lives only on your iPhone or iPad:
- The books you import, and the files themselves
- Your collections, bookmarks, highlights and notes
- Reading positions, reading time, streaks and goals
- Your reading preferences (theme, font, layout)
None of it is uploaded to us. We cannot see it, and we could not retrieve it if you asked.
When the app uses the network
Yosora reaches the network in exactly two situations, both started by you:
- Downloading a book from a link you paste. The request goes to whatever server hosts that file. We are not involved and receive nothing.
- Purchasing or restoring a subscription. This is handled entirely by Apple. Payment details never reach the app — we receive only whether a subscription is active.
Reading a book you already have never requires a connection.
Notifications
If you turn on reading reminders, the app schedules them locally on your device. No notification is sent through a server, and nothing about your reading is transmitted.
Advertising
Yosora shows ads to fund the free tier. They are served by Google AdMob, whose SDK is part of the app. Under Apple's rules we are the ones collecting this data, so we describe it here.
To deliver and measure ads, Google's SDK collects:
- your IP address, used to estimate a general location
- device identifiers, including the advertising identifier when you allow it
- interactions with ads — what was shown, tapped or completed
- crash and performance data from the SDK itself
It never receives what you read, your highlights, your notes or your reading times. Those never leave your device.
You control the advertising identifier. iOS asks whether Yosora may track you across other companies' apps and websites. Choose "Ask App Not to Track" and the identifier is withheld — ads become less relevant, and nothing else changes. You can change your answer any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a separate consent screen appears before ads are personalised, as GDPR requires. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
Yosora Premium removes full-screen ads. A small banner remains on some screens.
What we do not do
- No analytics or usage tracking of our own
- No third-party code other than the advertising SDK described above
- Nothing you read, highlight or note is ever sent anywhere
- We never sell your data
Children
Yosora is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, of any age.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes everything it stored. There is nothing held elsewhere to delete.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it, and the current version is always available at the link in the app and on the App Store listing.
